JROTC Rifle TeamThe 2005 JROTC rifle team was WV State Champions and placed 6th nationally. The current team is on the move, having recently won the Third Brigade Championship. The team will be heading to the regional meet in Georgia in February.
The 2005 Drill Team placed 4th in the state and 22nd at nationals.
The Color Guard makes many ceremonial presentations. In 2005, the presented the colors at the WV State Basketball Tournament. They placed 3rd in state competition and 23rd at nationals. They will be competing in Virginia in February.
Track/Cross CountryIn 2005, the Girls Track Team was the WV State Champions and the Boys Track Team placed 2nd at the State Meet. Also at this meet, Eric Ryan set a new state record in the 1600 meters, breaking a record that had stood for 19 years. The girls 4 x 800 also set a new state record at this meet.
The Girls Cross Country Team place 2nd in the state in 2005, while the Boys Cross Country Team placed 3rd. More information on PHS Track and Cross Country is available here.
BaseballThe 2005 Boy's Baseball Team advanced to the Regionals and tied the school's best season record.
BasketballThe 2005 Boy's Basketball Team earned their way to the State Tournament in Charleston.
VolleyballThe 2004 Volleyball Team completed in the State Tournament, and the 2005 team advanced to the regionals.
SoccerThe 2005 Girl's Soccer Team established the school's best season record, advanced to the regionals and was ranked 16th in the state.
