They’re a small coffee shop/pub located in the heart of Bruceton Mills, WV. They offer fresh roasted and fresh ground coffee in the mornings with mostly craft brews (several domestic flavors also) in the PM. Check their website for what’s currently on tap!

They are open for coffee: 8-11am Mon- Fri; and Beer: Monday - Saturday 4-10ish - Sundays 2-7ish

They serve limited food including: Nathan’s all beef hot dogs, Chili dogs, pepperoni rolls, soft pretzels, hummus with pita chips (gluten-free chips available), weekly specials and potato chips. They also make an in-house, non-alcoholic, birch beer & lemonade. Coffee fare varies day by day. They share a building with Pizza Pro restaurant (with a full menu)and you’re welcome to order food in!

The family-owned brewery opened in 2019 and offers a wide array of craft beers across West Virginia. The public taproom is open to all, including kids and dogs. Seasonal food trucks and events fill the calendar for year-round fun.

The Hitching Post is located inside the Appalachian Hotel in Kingwood. Certified Aged Beef and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes are its specialties.

Melanie’s Family Restaurant in Aurora offers home cooking and healthy servings not too far from Cathedral State Park. It is the perfect stop after a great day of hiking through the park.

Rowlesburg is famous for its variety of festivals from May through December. Bringing the community together over Memorial Day weekend, the River City Festival of the Arts portrays a living history performance, symphony and band performances and much more.

Early May is the time to celebrate spring in Albright with the Cheat River Festival. The annual fundraiser helps advance local projects on the Cheat River watershed, with live bands, an art market and family friendly activities.

The Terra Alta Community Park is the site of a Fourth of July celebration. Local vendors, live music, food trucks, games and fireworks top off the night.

Reedsville has been hosting the Valley District Fair for more than 30 years at the end of July. A Miss Valley District Pageant, Little Master Firefighter Contest, memorial car show and demo derby are just some of the activities the community enjoys!

Rowlesburg Park is the site of the Annual Labor Day Ox Roast, featuring live music, food, fireworks and a variety of kid-friendly activities.

The Kingwood community ushers in fall each year with the Preston County Buckwheat Festival! The four day event serves up mouthwatering Buckwheat Cake dinners all weekend, and is filled with events, including a carnival, arts and crafts, parades, livestock and a celebrated pageant.

Held in the fall in Rowlesburg, the Chestnut Festival celebrates the beauty of Autumn with community activities including breakfast in the River City Cafe, park activities on the bank of the Cheat River, sampling and purchasing savory roasted chestnuts and local vendors selling authentic crafts and wares.

The Annual Christkindlmarkt is Rowlesburg’s biggest Christmas celebration! An abundance of vendors display their original Christmas gifts in Rowlesburg. The festive environment is complete with live music, food, Christmas decorations and crafts.

The holiday extravaganza that is Christmas at the Barn in Masontown allows visitors and shoppers to peruse unique and vintage items while strolling through the decorated barns, hay sheds and other buildings.
