World-Class healthcare assists quality living in Preston County

mon healthOriginally opened in 1955, Kingwood’s Preston Memorial Hospital (PMH) is a nonprofit, 25-bed, Critical Access Hospital with a new facility dedicated in 2015. PMH operates a 24/7 Emergency Department with a Level IV Trauma designation and has two nationally recognized Centers of Excellence in Bariatrics and Sleep Medicine. The Preston Memorial Hospital Laboratory offers 24/7 laboratory services in microbiology, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis and is accredited by the national COLA organization. Other specialty services offered by PMH include breast procedures, cardiology, dermatology, ENT, heartburn center, neurology, pulmonology, sleep medicine, and weight loss procedures.

PMH operates several specialty facilities throughout Preston County. The Reedsville Urgent Care facility is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to handle non-life-threatening medical needs. Two Physical Therapy locations exist in Bruceton Mills and Kingwood with medical practitioners certified in a wide range of services. 

Additional medical facilities are available in nearby Morgantown, including Monongalia General Hospital and Ruby Memorial Hospital, which has the only Level 1 trauma center in West Virginia.
