United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development officials visited Riffle Farms to present four West Virginia agricultural producers with the Value-Added Producer Grant.
The nationally competitive Value-Added Producer Grant program helps agricultural producers enter value-added activities to generate new products, create and expand marketing opportunities and increase producer income.
USDA Rural Development State Director Ryan Thorn said the program is a way to help agricultural producers or farmers generate additional income.
