West Virginia Governor visits Preston County to discuss economic future

On Friday, Gov. Patrick Morrisey visited Preston County for a roundtable discussion with local elected officials and business leaders, hosted by the Preston County Economic Development Authority and the Preston County Chamber of Commerce.
During the discussion, Morrisey and Senate President Randy Smith, R-Preston, provided an overview of West Virginia’s economic development strategy and highlighted key legislation from the most recent legislative session.
These included the Data Center/Microgrid Bill (HB 2014), the One-Stop-Shop Permit Program (SB 461), and the Universal Professional and Occupational Licensing Act (SB 458).
