State economic development conference comes to Harrison County
September 23, 2025
The West Virginia Economic Development Council is hosting its annual fall conference in Bridgeport this week, giving officials a chance to network with each other and learn more about the opportunities and success stories from people and businesses in the area.
Development officials from around the state arrived Monday for the event, and organizers said that while networking is an important function of the event, getting to know each other is even more important.
“A lot of us do not have full teams. We don’t have a staff of 20 people, 10 people sometimes even one extra person, as an economic developer in a county, you are literally leaning on everybody else around you,” said Amy Haberbosh Wilson, executive director for the Harrison County Economic Development Corporation.
