An expansion is coming to North Central West Virginia Airport.
Members of the Benedum Airport Authority, the governing body of the airport, approved a lease agreement Tuesday for KCI Aviation to build 80,000 square feet of hangar space on nearly five acres of airport property.
The project will initially include a 30,000-square-foot hangar that will accommodate two large cabin aircraft for engine work, and then a secondary hangar will be built to bring the total space up to 80,000 square feet, said KCI Aviation President Chuck Koukoulis.
